Telegram Tips

Gift Auctions. Limited-edition Telegram Gifts are released in an auction-based system to ensure fair distribution. Auctions allow you to place a bid with Stars. Gifts are then distributed to the highest bidders over several rounds. Lower bids carry over into future rounds – and are instantly refunded after the final round if you don't win.

Repeated Messages. Scheduled messages and reminders can also be set to repeat at intervals like every day or twice per month. To set a repeating message, simply select an interval in the 'Repeat' field. After scheduling, you can tap the 📅/🕓 icon in the message bar to edit the text or interval of pending messages.

Hosting Live Stories. Live Stories support RTMP keys for seamless integration with external apps. Content creators can also set a price per comment in their live stories – and promote admins to help manage the chat. To control comments, tap 'Live Settings' while streaming. For chat admins, give them the admin permission 'Manage Video Chats / Live Streams' in your group or channel.

Live Stories. Every user can host a live stream in their Telegram story, where viewers can send comments and donate Stars to support content creators. Live Stories can be launched from user accounts, as well as groups and channels that have unlocked posting Stories via boosts. Live Stories give you the same granular privacy settings as other stories – visible to Everyone, Contacts, Close Friends or Selected Users.

Bugs and Suggestions Mini App. Anyone can quickly report bugs or suggest features from inside any Telegram application with the @bugs mini app.

⭐️ Collectible Gifts: Profile Colors. Your collectible gifts can be used to set unique styles for your profile cover, links you send and replies to your messages. To change your profile appearance, go to Settings and tap 'Change Profile Color'.

Notes for Contacts. When adding or editing a Telegram contact, you can include a private note that is only visible to you. To add someone as a contact, tap on their photo in any chat to open their profile and then tap Add to Contacts.

Comments and Reactions in Group Calls. Participants in group calls and video chats can send comments and reactions directly in the call interface. These are temporary messages that briefly appear on the call screen – to share an emotion, quickly ask a question and more. To send a comment, tap the 'Message' button. If you send just an emoji, people on the call will see an animated reaction.

Gift Value. You can see a collectible gift's approximate resale price in its attributes. If you tap to expand the 'Value' section, you can view more statistics about current prices and recent sales.

Upgrade Gifts for Other Users. You can send Stars to cover the cost of upgrading a gift on someone else's profile. This lets you help friends who are low on Stars or didn't realize their gift could be upgraded. To quickly see eligible gifts on someone's profile, use the 'Upgradeable' gift filter.

Gift Themes. Owners of certain collectible gifts can set dynamic chat wallpapers in 1-on-1 chats based on their unique gifts. Gift themes are based on each gift's attributes, like the model and backdrop. One gift unlocks one theme for one chat. This currently works with Plush Pepes, Precious Peaches, Durov's Caps and Heart Lockets.

Default Profile Tab. You can choose which tab appears first when someone opens your profile – to highlight your gift collections or saved stories. To change the default tab, go to Settings > My Profile, hold down on a tab and select 'Set as Main Tab'.

Stickers Mini App. The @Stickers mini app lets you create stickers and emoji, manage your packs, and view detailed usage statistics. Every user can easily make stickers in any chat with the in-app Sticker Editor. Artists can go here to learn about making stickers with vector animations, video files and static images.

Music on Profiles. Audio files from any of your chats can be added to your profile with a single tap in the media player. Adding additional tracks will automatically create a playlist on your profile. To add music, tap the 'Add to Profile' button in the media player or select the track and tap Save to… > Profile.

Profile Ratings. Profiles show a numerical rating based on successful transactions made with Telegram Stars. Your rating highlights your Telegram level and shows that you can be trusted for Suggested Posts and other requests.

Gift Collections. You can now group gifts on your profile or channel into custom collections – based on theme, rarity or other traits. The same gift can be placed in multiple collections. Collections also support granular filters for easy browsing. To add gifts to a collection, open the 'Gifts' tab on your profile or channel, select a gift and tap 'Add to Collection'.

Story Albums. Your favorite highlights can be organized into story albums on your profile. Channels can also utilize albums to display products or combine content into playlists. To add stories to an album, go to the 'Posts' tab in your profile or channel and tap 'Add Album'.

⭐️ Public Post Search. Search has a 'Posts' tab, where you can see relevant results from public channels. This makes it even easier to find specific information or follow breaking news from a variety of sources.

Funding Suggested Posts. When suggesting a post, you may offer Telegram Stars or Toncoin in exchange for posting it. Both you and the channel owner can suggest edits before accepting a post. Once approved, it can be instantly published or automatically scheduled for a specific time. The channel owner receives their reward 24 hours after posting. If the post is removed earlier, Telegram will automatically return the full amount to you. Toncoin can quickly be added to your Telegram account via Fragment.

Suggest Posts in Channels. Anyone can submit content to their favorite channels as suggested posts – through a transparent and automated interface. Suggested posts allow channels of any size to crowdsource content and collaborate with brands. To suggest a post, tap the 💬 icon in the message bar when sending a direct message to a channel.
