ዝክረ ቅዱሳን ማኅበረ ቅዱስ ዳዊት - ዘብሔረ ጎንደር (ዲ/ዮርዳኖስ አበበ)

One day, when the heresy was about to be read by the order of the Emperor, because the Saint removed it from the soldier’s hand and ripped it, he was beaten by the adherents (soldiers).✞The righteous Abba Daniel also at one time saw a poor man called Eulogius receiving guests [with the money he earned] after he worked as a stonecutter [the whole day]. Thus, the Saint [seeing that] delved into the Creator’s providence and asked, “O Lord! Why did You make this man poor?” ✞Then, the Lord as usual appeared to him (as He used to appear to the Saint frequently) and said, “Will you vouch for him with your soul?” And because the Saint replied, “Yes My Lord!”, our Lord gave Eulogius wealth. However, immediately after that, he became a military leader and a cruel person. ✞When the Saint heard the news; he went to see him and was beaten by Eulogius’ soldiers. Then, our Lord brought forth Abba Daniel to His throne and [wrathfully] stated, “Give me back my beloved.” But, the Mother of Light came and kissed the feet of her Son. ✞And she beseeched Him saying, “Forgive my Son!” And the Lord answered, “I will [for your sake]”. And He returned the Saint to his cell and Eulogius to his former deed. The wonders of Abba Daniel are numerous. ✞At another time, a thief entered a convent looking like Abba Daniel to steal. And the nuns thinking that it was the Saint, washed his feet and with the water wiped a blind sister and she gained her sight. And the thief shocked, repented. Abba Daniel finished his fight and passed away on this day. ✞✞✞Abba Matthew the Ascetic✞✞✞ =>The Saint was one of the spiritual children of the Great Abba Pachomius and was one of those that were called as the Stars of the Desert. He was a father that bore many disciples, lived with majestic beasts, performed many miracles and was a counselor to the grieved. Abba Daniel was an Egyptian who entered a monastery in his youth shunning the world. ✞The time [during which he lived] was the Era of the Righteous (the 5th Century). He was known in the Monasteries of Scetes – of St. Macarius and Sheahat. The great abode of the Saints, the Monastery of Sheahat, is still called by his name. And the reason for this is because he spent many years there in the spiritual fight and bore spiritual fruits and disciples in holiness. ✞So, he is to this day called Abba Daniel of the Monastery of Sheahat. He is also known as, “of the Monastery of Scetes”. The Monastery of Scetes is the legacy of the Great St. Macarius and it takes the first place from the [monasteries of the] world for the area it occupies and for bringing forth numerous saints. ✞The fathers that were appointed to be abbots of the monastery were always those that had reached perfection and their honor is above a Patriarch. Abba Daniel, after many years of sanctity, was appointed as the abbot of the monastery and led numerous monks to righteousness. ✞The Saint did not have time to eat or sleep because of his diligence. During the day, he absolved the sins of the monks (listened to confessions), healed the sick and oversaw the workings of the monastery. And when it became night time, he went out to the desert where the sowah (the spirit-borne anchorites) dwelt. ✞There, he used to spend the night wandering in the desert looking for the spirit-borne fathers. And because of this, he has written the acts of many sowah/anchorites. And when they passed away, he has participated in shrouding and burying them. And he has done a great deed. ✞From those Saints that he shrouded, buried and wrote accounts of, St. Amete Kirstos (Christodoula) the Israelite (that lived for 38 years naked in the wilderness) and St. Patricia (St. Anastasia the Patrician) the Queen (one who left her throne and lived in hiding) can be mentioned. ✞Beyond that, Abba Daniel knew how to show the honor of those that were loathed by people. For example, St. Anasima, who was thought to have been a mad woman and was left on the gate of a nunnery; and  St. Meherka (Mark), who was also thought to have been a mad man and about whom even the Archbishop of Alexandria did say, “He is insane”; the Saint showed that they were both saints who had hidden themselves [as fools for Christ].    ✞Abba Daniel was also an apostolic because he used to give diligent answers to the Chalcedonian heresy that spread during that time from a heretical letter called “The Tome of Leo” which was in circulation.

Memhir Esuendale: #Feasts of #Tahisas_7 ✞✞✞On this day we start the liturgical week/season honoring the Ministry of the Prophets (Sebkete Nebiyat – Tidings of the Prophets) and commemorate the Saints Abba Daniel and Abba Matthew✞✞✞ ✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞ ✞✞✞Sebket – Tiding✞✞✞ =>This day is called “Sebket - Tidings” according to the Tradition of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. “Sebket” by itself means “Good tidings or announcing of a glad news” but the main mystery behind the term is associated with soteriology (the teaching about salvation). ✞On this day (week) all the prophets and their prophecies are remembered. And the Season of Sebket/Tidings falls from Tahisas 7 – 13 (December 16 - 22). And if asked “How did that came to be?”, it was as follows. ✞When God placed Adam in paradise after endowing him with 7 gifts, he ate the fruit that he was told not to. And for this, he was separated from his Creator, and was subjected to the death of the soul upon the death of the flesh and to going to Gehenna upon being buried. However, later on, because he repented, God gave him a covenant saying, “I will save you after 5 and a half days, being born from your descendants”. ✞After that, for 5,500 years, time started to be counted in descending order.  Hence, prophecies started to be told, jubilees began to be counted and typologies were made about the incarnation of God and Him becoming man and saving the world. ✞From the time of Adam to Moses (Era of the Fathers/Patriarch) typologies were numerous. Then, from Moses to David (Era of the Judges) the typologies became pronounced. And from St. David, the one after God’s own heart, to St. Malachi (Era of the Prophets/Kings) prophecies about Christ and about His mother who was His abode flowed like a torrent.     ✞Prophets waiting for the coming of the Messiah lived in fasts, prayers and austerity. They wept and it reached before God and the Savior, Christ, was born and saved them. ✞A prophet is a person who knows the past (what has happened previously and had remained a mystery) and the future (what will happen). The gift of prophecy is God’s by nature [since He is omniscient] and He gives it to the one He loves by grace. And these fathers and mothers who were endowed with the gift of prophecy were called “Holy Prophets.” ✞Even though, the Era of the Prophets was in the Old Testament, the gift is given until the Second Coming to those that God wills to give. Amongst the Apostles, there were prophets like St. Agabus as well (Acts 11.28). ✞The Holy Prophets sent by God, counsel people to reconcile with God. And they also rebuke. Because of their true faith and purity, they have seen God in different representations and manifestations. As it is said by Abba Heryacos (Cyriacus), “…the prophets saw the Lord through the purity of the spirit seeing Him face to face” (Anaphora of St. Mary no. 161). ✞The end of most prophets was by receiving tribulation. Because they spoke the truth, some were tried with fire some with the sword and some with the saw. And the others were thrown to lions and the rest stoned. ✞And for their suffering, they are called as the foundations of the Church. And our Lord has said to His disciples about the trials of the prophets, “other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours” (John 4:38). ✞The prophets have tried and wanted to see our Lord Jesus Christ and His Virgin Mother. As the Lord had said in the Gospel, “many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see” (Matt. 13.17/ 1Pet. 1.10). Nonetheless, now, they rejoice in heaven, having much grace and given honor. ✞The holy prophets mainly are divided into four as follows: *The 15 prophetic fathers *The 4 major prophets *The 12 minor prophets and *Other prophets

††† እንኳን ለስብከተ ነቢያት እና ለአበው ጻድቃን አባ ዳንኤል ወአባ ማቴዎስ ዓመታዊ በዓል በሰላም አደረሳችሁ፤ አደረሰን። ††† ††† በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ አሜን! ††† <<< ❇️ስብከት ❇️>>> ይህች ዕለት በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ትውፊት "ስብከት" ትባላለች:: ስብከት ማለት በቁሙ "የምስራች: አዲስ ዜና መንገርን" የሚመለከት ሲሆን ዋናው ምሥጢር ግን ከነገረ ድኅነት (ከመዳን ትምሕርት) ጋር የተገናኘ ነው:: በዚህ ዕለት (ሳምንት) ሁሉም ነቢያት ከነ ትንቢታቸው ይታሰባሉ:: ዘመነ ስብከትም ከታሕሳስ 7 እስከ 13 ያለውን ይይዛል:: ይሕስ እንደ ምን ነው ቢሉ:- እግዚአብሔር አዳምን በ7 ሃብታት አክብሮ በገነት ቢያኖረው "አትብላ" የተባለውን ዕፀ በለስ በላ:: በዚህም ከፈጣሪው ተጣልቶ: በሞተ ሥጋ ሞተ ነፍስ: በርደተ መቃብር ርደተ ገሃነም ተፈረደበት:: በሁዋላ ግን ንስሃ ስለ ገባ "ከ5 ቀን ተኩል (5,500 ዘመን) በሁዋላ ከልጅ ልጅህ ተወልጄ አድንሃለሁ" የሚል ቃል ኪዳንን ሰጠው:: ከዚህ በሁዋላ ለ5,500 ዘመናት ጊዜ ወደ ታች ይቆጠር ጀመር:: ስለ እግዚአብሔር ሰው መሆንና ዓለምን ማዳንም ትንቢት ይነገር: ሱባኤ ይቆጠር: ምሳሌም ይመሰል ገባ:: ከአዳም እስከ ሙሴ (ዘመነ አበው) ምሳሌያት ይበዛሉ:: ከሙሴ እስከ ዳዊት (ዘመነ መሣፍንት) ምሳሌያቱ እየጐሉ መጥተዋል:: ከልበ አምላክ ቅዱስ ዳዊት እስከ ቅዱስ ሚልክያስ ድረስ (በዘመነ ነቢያት/ነገሥት) ግን ትንቢቶች ስለ ክርስቶስና ስለ ማደሪያ እናቱ እንደ ጐርፍ ፈሰዋል:: ነቢያትም የመሲህን መምጣት እየጠበቁ በጾም: በጸሎትና በትሕርምት ኑረዋል:: እንባቸውንም አፍሰው ቅድመ እግዚአብሔር ደርሶላቸዋል:: መድኅን ክርስቶስም ተወልዶ አድኗቸዋል:: ነቢይ ማለት በቁሙ ኃላፍያትን (አልፎ የተሠወረውን ምሥጢር): መጻዕያትን (ለወደ ፊት የሚሆነውን) የሚያውቅ ሰው ማለት ነው:: ሃብተ ትንቢት የእግዚአብሔር የባሕርይ ገንዘቡ ሲሆን እርሱ ለወደደው በጸጋ ይሰጠዋል:: እነዚህም ከጌታ ሃብተ ትንቢት የተሰጣቸው አባቶችና እናቶች "ቅዱሳን ነቢያት" በመባል ይታወቃሉ:: ዘመነ ነቢያት ተብሎ የሚታወቀው ብሉይ ኪዳን ቢሆንም እስከ ምጽዓት ድረስ ጸጋውን እግዚአብሔር ለፈቀደላቸው አይነሳቸውም:: በሐዋርያት መካከልም ቅዱስ አጋቦስን የመሰሉ ነቢያት ነበሩ:: (ሐዋ. 11:27) ቅዱሳን ነቢያት ከእግዚአብሔር እየተላኩ ሰውን ከፈጣሪው እንዲታረቅ ይመክራሉ: ይገስጻሉ:: ከበጐ ሃይማኖታቸውና ንጽሕናቸው የተነሳም እግዚአብሔርን በተለያየ አርአያና አምሳል አይተውታል:: "እስመ በአንጽሖ መንፈስ ርዕይዎ ነቢያት ለእግዚአብሔር: ወተናጸሩ ገጸ በገጽ" እንዳለ አባ ሕርያቆስ:: (ቅዳሴ ማርያም) የብዙ ነቢያት ፍጻሜአቸው መከራን መቀበል ነው:: እውነትን ስለ ተናገሩ: አንዳንዶቹም በእሳት: አንዳንዶቹም በሰይፍ: አንዳንዶቹም በመጋዝ ተፈትነዋል:: ሌሎቹ ለአናብስት ሲጣሉ ቀሪዎቹ ደግሞ በድንጋይ ተወግረዋል:: ስለዚህም መከራቸው ለቤተ ክርስቲያን መሠረት ተብለዋል:: ጌታም ለደቀ መዛሙርቱ "ሌሎች ደከሙ: እናንተ በድካማቸው ገባችሁ" ብሎ የነቢያቱን መከራ ተናግሯል:: (ዮሐ. 4:36) ነቢያት ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን እና ድንግል እናቱን ለማየት ብዙ ጥረዋል: ሽተዋልም:: "ብዙ ነቢያትና ጻድቃን እናንተ የምታዩትን ሊያዩ ሹ" እንዳለ ጌታ በወንጌል:: (ማቴ. 13:16, 1ዼጥ. 1:10) ዛሬ ግን በሰማያት ጸጋ በዝቶላቸው: ክብር ተሰጥቷቸው ሐሴትን ያደርጋሉ:: ቅዱሳን ነቢያት በዋነኝነት 15ቱ አበው ነቢያት: 4ቱ ዐበይት ነቢያት: 12ቱ ደቂቀ ነቢያትና ካልአን ነቢያት ተብለው በ4 ይከፈላሉ:: "15ቱ አበው ነቢያት" ማለት:- *ቅዱስ አዳም አባታችን *ሴት *ሔኖስ *ቃይናን *መላልኤል *ያሬድ *ኄኖክ *ማቱሳላ *ላሜሕ *ኖኅ *አብርሃም *ይስሐቅ *ያዕቆብ *ሙሴና *ሳሙኤል ናቸው:: "4ቱ ዐበይት ነቢያት" *ቅዱስ ኢሳይያስ ልዑለ ቃል *ቅዱስ ኤርምያስ *ቅዱስ ሕዝቅኤልና *ቅዱስ ዳንኤል ናቸው:: "12ቱ ደቂቀ ነቢያት" *ቅዱስ ሆሴዕ *አሞጽ *ሚክያስ *ዮናስ *ናሆም *አብድዩ *ሶፎንያስ *ሐጌ *ኢዩኤል *ዕንባቆም *ዘካርያስና *ሚልክያስ ናቸው:: "ካልአን ነቢያት" ደግሞ:- *ኢያሱ *ሶምሶን *ዮፍታሔ *ጌዴዎን *ዳዊት *ሰሎሞን *ኤልያስና *ኤልሳዕ ሌሎችም ናቸው:: ነቢያት በከተማም ይከፈላሉ:: *የይሁዳ (ኢየሩሳሌም): *የሰማርያ (እሥራኤል)ና *የባቢሎን (በምርኮ ጊዜ) ተብለው ይጠራሉ:: በዘመን አከፋፈል ደግሞ:- *ከአዳም እስከ ዮሴፍ (የዘመነ አበው ነቢያት): *ከሊቀ ነቢያት ሙሴ እስከ ነቢዩ ሳሙኤል (የዘመነ መሳፍንት ነቢያት) *ከቅዱስ ዳዊት እስከ ዘሩባቤል ያሉት (የዘመነ ነገሥት ነቢያት): *ከዘሩባቤል ዕረፍት እስከ መጥምቁ ዮሐንስ ያሉት ደግሞ (የዘመነ ካህናት ነቢያት) ይባላሉ:: << ታላቁ አባ ዳንኤል >> ይህ ቅዱስ አባት ስም አጠራሩ ክቡር ነው:: በሁሉ ነገሩ የተቀደሰ የገዳማውያን መብራትም ነው:: ከተረፈ ንጹሕ ሕይወቱ ጣዕመ መንግስተ ሰማያትን አይቷልና:: አባ ዳንኤል በትውልድ ግብጻዊ ሲሆን ዓለምን ንቆ (መንኖ) ገዳም የገባው ገና በወጣትነቱ ነው:: ጊዜውም ዘመነ ጻድቃን (በ5ኛው መቶ ክ/ዘመን) ነበር:: በገዳመ አስቄጥስና በደብረ ሲሐት ይታወቃል:: ታላቁዋ መካነ ቅዱሳን ገዳመ ሲሐት ዛሬም ድረስ በስሙ የምትጠራ ሲሆን ለዚህም ምክንያቱ እጅግ ለብዙ ዘመናት በውስጧ ተጋድሎ ፍሬ ስላፈራባት: ደቀ መዛሙርትን በቅድስና ስለ ወለደባት ነው:: ስለዚህም ዛሬም ድረስ "አባ ዳንኤል ዘደብረ ሲሐት" ተብሎ ሲጠራ ይኖራል:: ሌላኛው ስሙ ደግሞ "ዘገዳመ አስቄጥስ" ይሰኛል:: ገዳመ አስቄጥስ የታላቁ ቅዱስ መቃርስ ርስት ሲሆን በዓለም በስፋትም: ብዙ ቅዱሳንን በማፍራትም አንደኛ የሆነ ገዳም ነው:: በዚህ ገዳም ላይ አበ ምኔት ሁነው የሚሾሙ አበው ሁሌም የብቃት መዓርግ ላይ የደረሱ ሲሆኑ ክብራቸው ከፓትርያርክ በላይ ነው:: አባ ዳንኤልም ከብዙ የቅድስና ዓመታት በሁዋላ በአስቄጥስ ገዳም አበ ምኔት ሆኖ ተሹሞ እልፍ አእላፍ መነኮሳትን በጽድቅ መንገድ መርቷል:: ቅዱሱ ከትጋቱ የተነሳ ለምግብና ለእንቅልፍ ጊዜ አልነበረውም:: ቀን ቀን መነኮሳቱን ሲናዝዝ: ድውያንን ሲፈውስ: ሥርዓተ ገዳምን ሲቆጣጠር ይውላል:: ልክ ሲመሽ ጭው ወዳለውና ስውራን ወደ ሚገኙበት በርሃ ይወጣል:: በዚያም ሙሉውን ሌሊት የተሰወሩ አባቶችን ሲፈልግ ያድር ነበር:: በዚህም ምክንያት የብዙ ስውራንን ገድል የጻፈ ሲሆን ባረፉ ጊዜም ገንዞ በመቅበር በረከታቸውን ተሳትፏል:: ታላቅ ሙያንም ፈጽሟል:: እርሱ ገንዞ ቀብሮ: ዜናቸውን ከጻፈላቸው ሥውራን ቅዱሳንም እንደ አብነት እሥራኤላዊቷን ቅድስት ዓመተ ክርስቶስን (ለ38 ዓመት ራቁቷን በሥውር የኖረች) እና ቅድስት በጥሪቃ ንግሥትን (መንግስቷን ትታ በሥውር የኖረች ናት) መጥቀስ እንችላለን::

✞Finally, it settled in a different location. And on that day by the intercession of the Virgin and the prayers of the Saints a great majesty befell. However, St. Simeon immediately disappeared as he despised vainglory. And Abba Abraham labored the rest of his life and departed. Today is the commemoration of both [fathers]. ✞✞✞The scholars admiring St. Simeon thus say; “Salutations to Saint Simeon who was revealed by Mary’s word Who blinded his eye for the sake of her Son’s command So they will not notice him or give him merit He prayed standing behind the Prelate And removed a Mount and sited a Mount.” (Arke) ✞✞✞May the God of the Saints not deprive us of the faith they used to remove a mountain with. ✞But my dear brothers and sisters let us be careful as people who are of the flesh that are trading in the name of our holy mother have increased. As the glory of the martyr is ample, let us not only relay on dreams. As St. Anthony said, “He who believes in dreams is a fool.” ✞On this day we should also commemorate with the martyr, St. Agatha. This mother was an Abbess and she taught, consoled and stood by St. Arsema. She has also shared from all the trials, hunger, thirst and flight of the martyr. And in the end, was beheaded together with her. ✞This day is the day on which the relics of St. Arsema and her follower martyrs were translocated and the consecration of her church took place. ✞✞✞Abba Abraham and Saint Simeon the Cobbler✞✞✞ =>This 2 stars were fathers that rose in the 11th century in the Land of Egypt and performed an astounding miracle for the Church. And they did not know of one another until the Virgin Mary brought them together for a task. ✞✞✞Abba Abraham✞✞✞ =>This Saint’s lineage was from Syria and was a renowned merchant. And he was wealthy from his trade by going back and forth from Syria to Egypt. Nevertheless, because he was a man that was well versed in Christianity, did not disregard the poor, did not avoid fasting and prayer and was not a person that wanted luxury for himself only, God called him for a greater vocation. ✞When the 61st Patriarch of Egypt, Abba Mina ll (some say Philotheos) departed and the fathers wanting to find his successor held fasts and prayers, God told them, “Appoint Abraham the Syrian”. Though he said, “No”, they did not let him go. After he said if it is the will of God and distributed half his wealth to the poor and the rest to monasteries, he sat on his See. And during his office, he has labored much to remove the habit of sin [from the faithful]. ✞✞✞Saint Simeon the Cobbler✞✞✞ =>He was a father that lived in the same era around Misr (in present-day Cairo) in complete humility in prayer and fasting by hiding himself, mending shoes, feeding the destitute and aiding the weak.  He has also gouged out his eye with a hand stitcher when one youthful woman went to entice him. ✞✞✞When Faith Moves a Mountain✞✞✞ =>The Caliph of the time, El-Mu'izz, because he loved philosophy, used to hold debates for scholars. And one Jew, who thought himself to be a scholar, asked for permission wanting to debate Christians. Hence, Abba Abraham and Abba Severus went, were victorious, humiliated him and left. ✞And the Jew holding a grudge took the verse on Matt. 17:20 and presented it to the Caliph. The verse said, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove . . . it shall remove”. ✞Then, the Caliph summoned Abba Abraham and asked, “Does your Holy Bible say this?” To which Abba Abraham answered by saying, “Yes!” And when the Caliph reiterated, “Do it and show me”, the father asked for 3 days and left. Thence, while all of the faithful held a vigil of prayer for 3 days, Abba Abraham wept for 3 days without consuming food or sleeping in the Church of the our Lady. ✞Then, the Mother of Light appeared to him in glory and said, “Simeon the Cobbler will perform this for you.” He then led by a mark went to him and bowing before him said, “Have compassion for your kinsfolk the Christians?!”    ✞And so that the Saint in shock will not say no, the father invoked the name of the Virgin Mary. Thus, Saint Simeon said to Abba Abraham, “I don’t want to be recognized by men!” and they went to one great mountain (Mukatam). ✞There, the people stood on one side while the Caliph and his soldiers stood on the other face of the mountain. When the Saints together with the faithful prayed, “Kyrie Eleison -Lord, have mercy” 41 times, prostrated and rose, the mountain was removed from the ground and floated in the air. And to strengthen the proof, it was removed and put back 3 times.

የዲ/ዮርዳኖስ አበበ ትምህርቶች የሚተላለፉበት ዝክረ ቅዱሳን ማኅበረ ቅዱስ ዳዊት: #Feasts of #Tahisas_6 ✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the Virgin and Martyr Saint Arsema (Hripsime), Abba Abraham and Saint Simeon the Cobbler✞✞✞ ✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞ ✞✞✞ Saint Arsema (Arbsima/Repsima/Hripsime) the Virgin ✞✞✞ =>With what could we symbolize our mother St. Arsema? As she is a gem that sits on the horizon and shines, her honor is immeasurable. As Christ our Savior has said in the Gospel, “A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid” (Matt. 5:14), the life of this martyr is seen revealed like light before us. *St. Arsema is blessed since she grew up as a child obeying her parents. *St. Arsema was a flawless beauty. *St. Arsema was a virgin. *St. Arsema was a righteous ascetic. *And St. Arsema is a powerful martyr. If asked, “How that came to be?”, it was as follows. ✞According to what the fathers have told us in Tradition, St Gregory [the Illuminator] was the elder brother of the great martyr St. Arsema (Hripsime). And according to what is written in the Chronicles of the Martyrs, in that Era of Persecution, St. Gregory had three duties. 1. Consoling the martyrs including St. Arsema. 2. Learning well (to be versed in) the teachings of the Church. 3. And preparing himself for the trials that were about to come. ✞Because the Saint accomplished all three well; he became the model for the rest. He also made that pure warrior St. Arsema to steadfast and be a leader to the virgins. And they prayed, fasted and did ascetic activities living in a monastery until tribulation reached them. ✞This is why we call St. Arsema and St. Gregory righteous. However, later, because Diocletian, the abode of Satan, attracted by the beauty of St. Arsema said that he wanted to marry her, St. Gregory fled to Armenia taking 127 Christians including the Virgin Arsema.  ✞In Armenia, they stayed hidden for some time in one monastery in prayer and fasting until hunger overcame them. And because there was nothing to eat in the area St. Gregory was forced to leave to the city.  ✞There, he was hired as a slave in the palace of Tiridates (the III). And with the money he made, he used to help his kinfolk. Nevertheless, the trials did not leave them. The accursed Diocletian heard that the Saints had gone to Armenia and he sent Tiridates to capture and send them to him. ✞But when Tiridates saw St. Arsema, he could not contain himself because of her beauty and asked her saying; “I want to marry you”. However, the Virgin told him, “I am the bride of Christ. It won’t happen.” Then, he tried to intimidate her. And while she saw, he slaughtered the virgins. ✞And when he was unsuccessful, he tried to force her to marry him in public but she twisted his hand and dropped him to the ground in front of everyone. And because he was highly embarrassed, he had her whipped, tortured and had her eyes to be taken out.  Finally, he had her beheaded and thrown with [the bodies of] the martyrs on a mountain. ✞After all these, when Tiridates and his servants went hunting, evil spirits altered them to the forms of beasts (wild boars). ✞The King’s shift into an animal created a great fright in Armenia. And when the King’s sister cried, in a vision, she heard, “You won’t be saved unless you bring forth Gregory from where he is buried”. Straightaway, they dug him out. ✞When the Saint was taken out, he did not seek rest. He collected the relics of St. Arsema and the Martyrs, which have had no one to bury, and he placed their relics with honor after 15 years [of their martyrdom]. Then, he went to the desert and healed Tiridates and his servants. ✞Our fathers have told us in Tradition that the relics of the martyr St. Arsema with other martyrs’ relics were brought to our country (Ethiopia) in the 14th century. And this seems to be why our blessed mother loves Ethiopians for the most part than others (other nations). Including in her main monastery (found in Wollo/Kulamaso/Se’ba), she does great wonders where her name is invoked.

✞✞✞ በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ ፡፡ አሜን ፡፡ ✞✞✞ ✞✞✞ ታኅሣሥ 6 ✞✞✞ ✞✞✞ እንኩዋን "ለድንግልና ሰማዕት ቅድስት አርሴማ" : "አባ አብርሃም" እና "ቅዱስ ስምዖን ጫማ ሰፊው" ዓመታዊ በዓል በሰላም አደረሳችሁ ✞✞✞ +*" ቅድስት አርሴማ ድንግል "*+ =>እናታችን ቅድስት አርሴማን በምን እንመስላታለን? እርሷ በአድማስ ላይ ተቀምጦ እንደሚያበራ እንቁ ናትና ክብሯ ብዙ ነው:: መድኃኒታችን ክርስቶስ በወንጌል እንዳለው "በተራራ ላይ ያለች ከተማ ልትሠወር አይቻላትምና" (ማቴ. 5:11) የሰማዕቷ ሕይወት በፊታችን እንደ ብርሃን ተገልጦ ይታያል:: *ቅድስት አርሴማ እንደ ልጅ ወላጆቿን በመታዘዝ ደስ ያሰኘች ቡርክት ናት:: *ቅድስት አርሴማ ይሕ ቀረሽ የማይሏት ውብ ናት:: *ቅድስት አርሴማ ድንግል ናት:: *ቅድስት አርሴማ ባሕታዊት ጻድቅ ናት:: *ቅድስት አርሴማ ኃያል ሰማዕት ናት:: ¤ይሕስ እንደ ምን ነው ቢሉ: +አበው በትውፊት እንደ ነገሩን ከሆነ ቅዱሱ ጐርጐርዮስ የታላቁዋ ሰማዕት ቅድስት አርሴማ ትልቅ ወንድም ነው:: በዜና ሰማዕታት ተጽፎ እንደሚገኘው በዚያ የመከራ ዘመን ቅዱስ ጐርጐርዮስ ሦስት ኃላፊነቶች ነበሩበት:- 1.ቅድስት አርሴማን ጨምሮ ደናግሉን ማጽናት 2.ትምሕርተ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን በሚገባ ማጥናት 3.የሚመጣውን መከራ ለመቀበል ራሱን ማዘጋጀት:: +ቅዱሱ 3ቱንም ኃላፊነቶች በሚገባ በመወጣቱ ከራሱ አልፎ ለሌሎቹ አርአያ መሆን ቻለ:: ያቺን ንጽሕት አርበኛ ቅድስት አርሴማንም አጽንቶ የደናግሉ መሪ አደረጋት:: መከራው ገፍቶ እስከ መጣበት ጊዜ በአንድ የደናግል ገዳም ውስጥ ሆነው ይጸልዩ: ይጾሙ: ገዳማዊ ሥራንም ይሠሩ ነበር:: +ለዚህም ነው ቅድስት አርሴማና ቅዱስ ጐርጐርዮስ ጻድቃን የምንላቸው:: በሁዋላ ግን ማሕደረ ሰይጣን ዲዮቅልጢያኖስ በመልኩዋ ተማርኮ ቅድስት አርሴማን ካላገባሁ በማለቱ ቅዱስ ጐርጐርዮስ ድንግሏን አርሴማን ጨምሮ ክርስቲያኖችን ይዞ ወደ አርማንያ ተሰደደ:: +በአርማንያም በአንድ ገዳም ውስጥ ተደብቀው በጾምና በጸሎት ለጥቂት ጊዜ ቆዩ:: ነገር ግን ረሃብ ፈጃቸው:: የሚላስ የሚቀመስ ነገር በአካባቢው ባለ መኖሩ ቅዱስ ጐርጐርዮስ ወደ ከተማ ለመውጣት ተገደደ:: +በዚያም በድርጣድስ ቤተ መንግስት ውስጥ ባርነት ተቀጠረ:: በሚያገኛት ገንዘብም ወገኖቹን ይረዳ ነበር:: መከራው ግን አለቀቃቸውም:: ርጉም ዲዮቅልጢያኖስ ቅዱሳኑ ወደ አርማንያ መሔዳቸውን ስለ ሰማ ይዞ እንዲልክለት ድርጣድስን ላከው:: +ድርጣድስ ግን ቅድስት አርሴማን ባያት ጊዜ ከውበቷ የተነሳ መታገስ ባለመቻሉ "ካላገባሁሽ" አላት:: ድንግሊቱ ግን "እኔ የክርስቶስ ሙሽራ ነኝ: አይሆንም" አለችው:: ሊያስፈራራት ሞከረ:: ዐይኗ እያየ ደናግሉን ጨፈጨፋቸው:: +አልሳካልህ ቢለው በአደባባይ በግድ ሊያገባት ቢሞክር እጁን ጠምዝዛ በሰው ሁሉ ፊት መሬት ላይ ጣለችው:: እጅግ ስላፈረ አስገረፋት: አሰቃያት: ዐይኗንም አወጣ:: በመጨረሻም አንገቷን አስቆርጦ ከሰማዕታቱ ጋር ተራራ ላይ ጣላት:: +ከነገር ሁሉ በሁዋላ ድርጣድስና ባለሟሎቹ ለአደን በሔዱበት ርኩስ መንፈስ ወደ አውሬነት (እሪያነት) ቀየራቸው:: +የንጉሡ እንስሳ (አውሬ) መሆን በአርማንያ ታላቅ ድንጋጤን ፈጠረ:: የንጉሡ እህት ስታለቅስ በራዕይ "ለእመ ኢያዕረግምዎ ለጐርጐርዮስ አልብክሙ ድኂን-ጐርጐርዮስን ከተቀበረበት ካላወጣችሁት አትድኑም" አላቸው:: ወዲያውም ቆፍረው አወጡት:: +ቅዱሱ እንደ ወጣ ዕረፍትን አልፈለገም:: ለ15 ዓመታት ቀባሪ አጥቶ የተበተነውን የቅድስት አርሴማንና የሰማዕታቱን አጽም ሰብስቦ በክብር አኖረው:: ድርጣድስና ባለሟሎቹንም ወደ በርሃ ሒዶ ፈወሳቸው:: +የሰማዕቷ ቅድስት አርሴማ አጽም በ14ኛው መቶ ክ/ዘመን ከሌሎች ሰማዕታት አጽም ጋር ኢትዮዽያ እንደ መጣ አባቶቻችን በትውፊት ነግረውናል:: ለዚህም ይመስላል ቡርክቷ እናታችን ከሌሎች ሃገራት ለይታ ለኢትዮዽያውያን ልዩ ፍቅር ያላት:: በዋናው ገዳሟ (ወሎ /ኩላማሶ/ : ስባ : ውስጥ የሚገኝ ነው) ጨምሮ ስሟ በተራበት ሁሉ ኃይልን ታደርጋለችና:: +ነገር ግን ወንድሞቼና እሕቶቼ በቅድስቷ እናታችን ስም የሚነግዱ ሥጋውያን ሰዎች በዝተዋልና እንጠንቀቅ:: የሰማዕቷ ክብር ብዙ ነውና በሕልም ላይ ብቻ አንታመን:: አባ እንጦንስ እንዳሉት "በሕልሙ የሚታመን ሰው ከንቱ ነውና::" (መዝ. 75:5) +በዚህ ዕለት ከሰማዕቷ ጋር የመንፈስ እናቷን ቅድስት አጋታን ልናስባት ይገባናል:: ይህች እናት እመ-ምኔት ስትሆን ቅድስት አርሴማን ታስተምራት: ታጸናት: ከጐኗም ትቆምላት ነበር:: ረሃቧን: ጥሟን: ስደቷን: መከራዋንም ሁሉ አብራት ተሳትፋለች:: በፍጻሜውም አብራት ተሰይፋለች:: +ይህች ዕለት ለቅድስት አርሴማና ለተከታዮቿ ሰማዕታት የፍሰትና የቅዳሴ ቤት መታሰቢያ ናት:: +"+ አባ አብርሃምና ቅዱስ ስምዖን ጫማ ሰፊው +"+ =>እነዚህ 2 ኮከቦች በ11ኛው መቶ ክ/ዘመን አካባቢ በምድረ ግብጽ ተነስተው ለቤተ ክርስቲያን ድንቅ ተአምርን የሠሩ አበው ናቸው:: እመ ብርሃን ማርያም ለሥራ እስክታገናኛቸው ድረስም እርስ በርስ አይተዋወቁም ነበር:: +"+ አባ አብርሃም +"+ =>ይህ ቅዱስ ትውልዱ ከሶርያ ሲሆን እጅግ የታወቀ ነጋዴ ነበር:: ከሶርያ ግብጽ እየተመላለሰ ሲነግድ ባለ ጸጋ ሆኖም ነበር:: ነገር ግን ክርስትናን አጥብቆ የተማረ: ነዳያንን የማይዘነጋ: ጾምና ጸሎትን የማይገፋና እኔን ብቻ ይድላኝ የሚል ሰው ስላልነበረ እግዚአብሔር ለታላቅ ሥራ ጠራው:: +የግብጽ 61ኛ ፓትርያርክ አባ ፊላታዎስ ባረፈ ጊዜ አበው ተተኪ ፍለጋ ሱባኤ ቢገቡ "ሶርያዊ አብርሃምን ሹሙ" አላቸው:: እርሱ "እንቢ" ቢልም አለቀቁትም:: እርሱም ከሆነስ ብሎ ሃብቱን እኩሉን ለነዳያን: እኩሉን ለገዳማት ሰጥቶ ባዶ እጁን ወደ መንበረ ዽዽስናው ወጥቷል:: በዘመነ ሲመቱም ልማደ ኃጢአትን ያርቅ ዘንድ ብዙ ተግቷል:: +"+ ቅዱስ ስምዖን ሰፋዪ +"+ =>በዚያው ዘመን በምስር (በአሁኗ CAIRO) አካባቢ ራሱን ደብቆ: ጫማ እየጠገነ: ነዳያንን እየመገበ: ድኩማንን እየረዳ: በፍጹም ትሕትና: በጾምና በጸሎት የኖረ አባት ነው:: አንዲት ወጣት ልታስተው ብትመጣም ስለ ክርስቶስ ትዕዛዝ አንድ ዐይኑን በመሳፈቻ አውጥቶ ጥሏል:: +"+ በእምነት ተራራ ሲነቀል +"+ =>በወቅቱ የነበረው የግብጽ ከሊፋ ፍልስፍና ወዳጅ በመሆኑ ምሁራንን ያከራክር ነበር:: አንድ አይሁዳዊ "ምሑር" ነኝ ባይም ከክርስቲያኖች ጋር መከራከር ፈልጐ ጠየቀ:: አባ አብርሃምና አባ ሳዊሮስ መጥተው ድል ነስተው: አሳፍረውት ሔዱ:: +እርሱም በቂም በማቴ. 17:20 ላይ ያለችውን ቃል ይዞ ሒዶ በከሊፋው ፊት አቀረበ:: ቃሉም:- "የሰናፍጭ ቅንጣት ታሕል እምነት ቢኖራችሁ ይህንን ተራራ ተነቀል . . . ብትሉት ይቻላቹሃል" ይላል:: +ከሊፋውም አባ አብርሃምን ጠርቶ "መጽሐፍ ቅዱሳችሁ እንደዚህ ይላል?" አለው:: "አዎ!" ሲል መለሰለት:: "አድርገህ አሳየኝ" ቢለው 3 ቀናትን ለምኖት ወጣ:: ሁሉም ክርስቲያኖች የ3 ቀን ምሕላ ሲይዙ አባ አብርሃም በእመቤታችን መቅደስ ለ3 ቀናት ያለ ምግብና እንቅልፍ አለቀሰ::
