Many of the reported military movements online appear to be based on outdated information or routine U.S. activities in the region due to the heightened tensions currently. Reuters, and subsequently Fox News citing Reuters, have published reports suggesting possible “covert actions” in Venezuela, attributed to anonymous sources. Beyond these unverified claims, we have found no credible evidence of imminent covert operations. We will continue to monitor developments closely.
