Investors often fixate on the IDO price, but savvy investors look deeper. The real story is in the vesting schedule.
💎 What is Vesting? Vesting is the process of locking and releasing tokens over a set period. Instead of getting 100% of tokens at launch, you receive them in portions (e.g., 10% per month).
💎 What is a Cliff? A "cliff" is a waiting period before vesting begins. If a project has a 1-year cliff, you won't receive any tokens for the first year.
Why do they matter?
➡️ They control sell pressure. A project that releases 100% of its tokens at TGE (Token Generation Event) will face massive sell pressure, often crashing the price.
➡️ They show long-term commitment. A fair vesting schedule for the team and early investors (e.g., 6-month cliff, 24-month vesting) proves they are committed to the project's long-term success, not a quick flip.
A low IDO price with bad vesting is a trap. A fair price with good vesting is an opportunity.
